ABOUT US

Mitch Hughes Calls is the result of a lifetime full of hunting waterfowl. With desire to continue what was started over a decade ago, we have finally created a call that meets our perfect standards.

How it started...

Mitch Hughes got his start waterfowl hunting at a young age from his father, Bill Hughes. His passion for hunting quickly flourished, particularly for the Canada Goose. He began competitive duck and goose calling in 2000. He honed many skills through his friend and mentor, John Taylor. John taught Mitch the ways of competition goose calling and when the time came for Mitch to produce his own calls, John was once again a source of support.

How it's been...

Since the start of his career, Mitch went on to become a 3x World Goose Calling Champion (2006, 2010, 2011) and has spent over 20 years guiding hunters across the U.S. and Canada. Mitch decided to create a call that would be user friendly and mimic the exact sound of the Canada Goose, the sound we have chased for many years...

Where it's going...

Now, the call is ready. Every Mitch Hughes Call is hand-tuned by Mitch himself, built for hunters who want rich tone, full control, and a call that sounds like a goose—right out of the box. Whether you're a seasoned caller or just getting started, these calls will produce across the spectrum.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What makes these calls different from others on the market?

Each call is built from premium high-grade acrylic and features broken-in guts for a realistic, full-bodied tone. The step bore design and carefully balanced length give the MHG-1 its signature rich sound—from low-end moans to high-end volume and power—without needing a long break-in period. They are all goose.
